XM Series Scotch Yoke Pneumatic Actuator:

Design and Construction

XM Scotch Yoke Pneumatic Actuators are fit for turn-off or metering control of 90° valves (such as ball valves,butterfly valves and plug valves).It can realize automatic control of industrial process with various accessories.The principle is that compressed air enters the chamber to push the
piston to do linear motion,and by transmission structures of the yoke pin and yoke groove,the piston's linear motion will be converted into the
yoke's rotary motion,and drives the output shaft to rotate, thus achieving the control of the valve.

There are two types of XM Scotch Yoke Pneumatic Actuators,including Symmetrical and Canted,which correspond to two different output torque characteristics.The Canted Scotch Yoke Actuator,with high starting torque and low operating torque,is suitable for the control of butterfly valve.The Symmetrical Scotch Yoke Actuator,with more balanced torque curve,is mainly suitable for the control of ball valve and plug valve.

Performance and Features

The dual-material (rubber and PFA) encapsulated O-rings can be applied to a vide range of temperature and conditions.
A double O-ring and bearing design ensures the stability and dependability of the modular cylinder.

The Output Torque of XM Spring Return type can be more than 140,000m, and Double Acting type more than 250,000Nm.
Operating pressures: 0.3-0.6Mpa.

The central body module and cylinder module are all made of ductile iron or carbon steel to ensure enough strength.The overall structure is compact,with beautiful and coordinated design.The yoke and piston ensure the best torque output.

Low friction and long-life compound raw material can avoid the direct connection of metals, which makes the maintenance and replacement easy and convenient.

The output shaft conforms to the latest standards of IS05211 and NAMUR.Its dimensions can be customized, and the stainless steel material is optionally available.

The NAMUR standard position indicator is convenient for the assembly of accessories such as Limit Switch Box, Positioner, etc.

Two independent angle adjustable bolts can adjust the valve travel from -6° to 96°, assisting to prolong the valve seat integrity.
