Electrical valve positioner is a key equipment for accurately adjusting valve opening in industrial automation control system, which converts electrical signals into pneumatic signals to drive valve action, and is widely used in chemical industry, electric power, metallurgy and other fields.
Basic functions
Signal conversion: The standard current signal (such as 4-20mA) output by the control system is received and converted into a pneumatic pressure signal (such as 0.2-1.0bar).
Valve positioning: Accurately control the valve opening through the feedback mechanism to ensure that the valve position is consistent with the input signal.
Dynamic compensation: Overcome valve stem friction, medium pressure fluctuations and other interference, improve response speed and stability.
the working principle
Input signal processing
After the locator receives the current signal, the internal circuit or microprocessor analyzes the target opening value.
Position feedback and comparison
Mechanical feedback: through the CAM, connecting rod and other mechanisms to convert the valve stem displacement into a mechanical signal.
Digital feedback: The intelligent positioner obtains real-time position signals through potentiometers or magnetostrictive sensors and compares them with set values.
Output regulation
Traditional positioner: Using the principle of force balance, through the baffle nozzle system to adjust the output pressure.
Intelligent positioner: Precisely control the gas path through piezoelectric valves or high-speed solenoid valves to drive the actuator.
Closed loop control
Continuously compare the set value to the actual position and dynamically adjust the output until the error is eliminated.
Key performance indicators
Linearity: The degree of agreement between the output and the input signal, intelligent up to 0.1%FS.
Repeatability: The consistency of multiple movements, usually better than 0.2%.
Response time: From signal change to valve in place, up to 0.5 seconds for high-speed models.
Environmental adaptability: temperature range (-40~85ºC), explosion-proof certification (such as Ex d IIC T6).
